- Alternator 2.0 dropouts create a modular system consisting of replaceable dropout plates and fixing hardware
- Specifically designed for, and only compatible with, Salsa frames using the 2.0 system
- Frames designed around the first generation Alternator dropout system are not compatible with 2.0 system parts
- Frames designed around the Alternator 2.0 dropout system are not backward compatible with the first gen plates/hardware
- The same Alternator 2.0 dropout plates are used for 142, 148, 177, or 197mm spacing, etc.
- Available in two styles: fixed-position plates, and adjustable-position plates
- All dropout plates are sold individually to facilitate mixing and matching to accommodate various drivetrain/axle combos
- Fixed position plates feature two threaded holes which allow the user to select between two different "fixed" rear center lengths
- Adjustable-Position dropout plates feature a slot and recess that accepts a square fixing nut, allowing for 17mm of rear axle adjustment
